ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY STUDY
Is conducted in a catheter lab and looks at how well the “electrical circuitry” of the heart works and whether a fast heart rhythm (arrhythmia) can be started.

Is a fast heart rhythm (arrhythmia) originating from the top of the heart (right atrium or left atrium) including AV Nodal Reentrant Tachycardia (AVNRT), Wolf-Parkinson White Syndrome, Atrial Tachycardia, Atrial Fibrillation and Atrial Flutter.

Is a fast heart rhythm (arrhythmia) originating from the bottom of the heart (right ventricle or left ventricle) in normal hearts and those with structural heart disease.
